I would like to combat the popular stereotype that many believe a feminist is: a man-hating, butch, ugly, domineering, anti-feminine, gay "feminazi" that doesn’t shave her legs and only wants to take away men's rights and control everyone. Now of course this may be an exaggerated view that many hold but many see this to be their idea of a feminist. This is of course false.
Feminists believe that all genders deserve to be treated equal and have the same opportunities. They believe that women, like men, are humans as well. Feminists don’t believe that women are better than men or vice versa. They believe in justice, fairness and that all deserve to live without oppression. They believe in being judged as an individual rather than as a member of a sex with only one personality type and only one social function!
